Cigar Accessories That Any Smoker Should Have

If you think lighting a cigar is as easy as lighting a cigarette, think again – and this time, think BIG. Cigarette sticks are very easy to light because they are small and this makes them more manageable. Cigars, on the other hand, are way bigger than the ordinary cigarette so it takes quite a bit to light up that huge stick of yours. This is precisely why I recommend getting a Zippo lighter, and get one of the bigger Zippo Lighters at that as well.

I made the mistake of using a small and slim Zippo lighter when I started smoking cigars. The result? A bad burn that really ruined the taste that I was supposed to enjoy. This nearly ruined the whole experience for me. My dad then told me it is so much better to just get a bigger Zippo lighter so that a bigger flame can spread the burn evenly. After that experience, I made sure to go with bigger lighters all throughout.

Zippo has made this easier for everyone because they also provide Personalized Zippo designs! You can choose to have your lighter engraved with your initials. This would really make a great gift to a friend who smokes as well because you can have it customized with his or her initials! I have a few friends for whom I got these personalized lighters, and they really love what I got them.

When you are still getting the hang of smoking cigars, you also need to bear in mind getting a handy cigar cutter. This is one of the most important Cigar Accessories you should have. Why, you might ask. Well, the way you cut your cigar actually influences its taste. In fact, ask one of your more experienced smoker friends and they will tell you the same thing.

Since you are still the novice, then you might want to go for the double-blade cigar cutter. This is one of the older types of cigar cutters released, and it comes with a very simple mechanism. The cutter has two blades that cross each other when you exert pressure on both of them. The cigar head is inserted between these two blades, and with the exerted pressure, it is then cut off. Make sure the amount of pressure you exert on both blades is the same. Another type of cutter is the guillotine. This comes with just one blade and the cigar head is cut from one side and down to the other side. Both cigar cutters are small in size so you can conveniently bring them just about anywhere.
