Recently I bought few things on amazon. I want to share with you my opinion about things I have bought.
When I had to scrap cold butter in the morning i was going nuts, I hated that. I’ve started thinking about butter keeper. Butter keeper is small not complicated thing made from porcelain. It looks like a small jar. What’s best it’s not very expensive usually $5-$10. You fill it with waterr and it creates a coat that doesn’t allow air to make butter outdated. Water needs changing every three days. History of butter keepers is very long, decades ago people used to keep butter in waterr to keep it fresh for a longer time. Unfortunately it was not the best method, butter could be kept like that for a week but not longer. In contemporary butter keepers you can keep butter for almost a month.
Silicone oven mitt is really great thing. It resist heat up to 500 degrees F.So you can grab everything no matter boiling or not.You can wash it really easily.You can simply put it in a dishwasher and that’s all you don’t have to wait when it dries etc. What about boiling waterr that you can sometimes spill on your hand ? In normal mitt waterr would soak but not in silicone one. If you like Chinese food it will save yo from hot oil. That it’s made from silicone makes it very hygienic.Some people say it’s a little bit bulky in your hand, but that’s not a problem until you can buy three fingered mitts.
Silicone oven mitt and norpro butter keeper works great for me so I highly recommend it to you.
